Ballpoint art

For the first time, the Museum’s contribution to the Drawing Biennial is dedicated to a specific medium – the ballpoint pen. Situated somewhere between the pencil and the fountain pen, the ballpoint pen is a versatile instrument widely and variously used by artists. The show features works by artist’s ranging from Alighiero Boetti and Werner Knaupp to Nadine Fecht and Thomas Müller.

The opening of the exhibition at Neues Museum also marks the official start of the 8th Drawing Biennial in the Nuremberg metropolitan region.
