It’s a must for this anniversary year! Jeppe Hein’s walk-through fountain on Klarissenplatz that fascinates visitors with its walls of water and nocturnal illumination. A very special but also very expensive summer treat that we are able to realize this year thanks to generous support from the Sparkassenstiftung.
In works that expand the field of fine art to include architecture and design, the Danish artist addresses the shifting lines between opposites such as inside and outside, or action and reaction. His works always combine functionalism with a sensory, spatial experience for visitors, who become physically involved in the artworks, rendering their qualities visible and tangible.
Hein’s own claim that his art is “a tool for communication and dialogue” is proven once again by this wonderfully communicative water playground.
Made possible by the support of the Zukunftsstiftung der Sparkasse Nürnberg.
