Glass - Vessel - Object

For the tenth time, Neues Museum is hosting the Forum for Applied Art. This year, the focus is on glass, featuring internationally known artists: Veronika Beckh, Gesine Hackenberg, Bernard Heesen, Franz Xaver Höller, Ritsue Mishima, Takeyoshi Mitsui, Eva Moosbrugger, Cornelius Réer, Tora Urup and Sylvie Vandenhoucke.

All of them deal here with the theme of vessels – be it as an object in the sense of a free artistic statement, as a vessel for a specific use, or as decoration. This diversity lies in their various artistic approaches and signature styles, highlighting the diverse possibilities on offer. Whether it is polished, cut, poured, blown or moulded, glass is a wonderful material.
