For some, they are home, landmarks, and a source of cultural enjoyment. For others, they are a cost factor, an obstacle, and a millstone around the neck: Opinions are divided when it comes to monuments and monument preservation. There is hardly any other field with as many misunderstandings and misconceptions as monument preservation.
The participatory and multimedia traveling exhibition is coming to the NMN and to Nuremberg for the first time. It offers an unconventional perspective on the controversial topic of historic preservation. In doing so, it addresses many questions, misconceptions, and common prejudices that have never before been addressed in this way. Through six interactive stations, the exhibition brings the “construction site” of historic preservation to life and makes it engaging and easy to understand.
Admission to the lower foyer is free.
