In a unique architectural setting in the heart of Nuremberg, several exhibitions related to our present day are always taking place at the same time.
As a museum of the Free State of Bavaria, designed by architect Volker Staab and completed in October 1999, the New Museum in Nuremberg displays art and design from the 1950s to the present day in over 3,000 m² of collection and exhibition space.

In a unique approach, fine and applied art are presented side by side, providing selected highlights that shed light on important stages in the development of international art and design history from the mid-20th century to the present day.
The Neues Museum in Nuremberg is an important institution in the cultural life of the city. With its diverse art and cultural programme, it makes a significant contribution to the cultural offerings in the Nuremberg metropolitan region.
As a platform for current discourse in the arts and culture, the Neues Museum also collaborates with academies and universities in the region. Young creative approaches and the potential of new ideas find room to flourish.
